Building Info & History

Built in 2000, this was the Fremont home of REI Sporting Goods until January 2024. Shortly thereafter, we purchased the building and began the process of designing and permitting a new veterinary hospital.

The building is 23,915 square feet, sitts on 2 acres of land, and has 106 parking spaces. It’s located on Auto Mall Pkwy, making it easy to access from both I880 or I680.

Demolition Begins

Construction began on January 2nd, 2026.

The demolition needed was minimal, as REI had a very open layout to their store.

The first 2 months entailed cutting trenches into the concrete floor, laying out plumbing lines for the new hospital, and then covering these pipes with new concrete.

Interior Wall Framing

Starting on March 1st, the interior walls starting going up.

After the interior walls will be plumbing work within the walls as well as electrical and data wiring.
